Product Reviews ___________ I'm listed on SelfGrowth.com and subscribe to several newsletters through there. I recommend it! It's designed to be an organized directory, with articles and references to thousands of other Web Sites on the World Wide Web. Check out www.SelfGrowth.com. ___________ For more information on the AWeber newsletter service I uses, click this link. Always, no spam, no unwanted emails. ___________ EVERYBODY feels like having a temper tantrum sometimes. Ever wonder where those emotions come from? This ebook helps you "walk backwards" to find the root cause of emotional upsets and reduce the drama in your life. Use what you learn to understand your stepkids when they're angry, too. Grab your copy of You're Never Upset for the Reason You Think. ___________ It's so hard to be organized, and there's too much not-so-helpful information on the internet about how to do it. That's why I absolutely, positively love this site! I've subscribed to the weekly e-newsletter for years and find a useful tip every single week. Maria Gracia's books and kits are excellent, too. Click here to learn about Get Organized Now! ___________ There was a lot of uproar the other day when my youngest stepdaughter had a science fair project due! We're smart and creative people, but couldn't think of something simple enough in time. Good thing it was an extracurricular activity.... Wish I'd known about "24 Hour Science Projects" and avoided disappointing all of us. Click here to learn about these simple projects. ___________ Would you take dating advice from someone who's been married for 17 years? Yep, after that long, he must know a thing or 300. Michael Webb, who was featured on Oprah, offers you his collection of 300 creative (and cheap) dating ideas. Click here to learn more. ___________ No matter how good your relationship is with your spouse, it can always be better. Sometimes we get so caught up in daily life we forget to ask the most important questions. This ebook brings you and your spouse (or potential spouse) closer and helps you understand each other better. Click Here to read about 1000 Questions For Couples. ___________ Ever wanted your dog to "act" like the dogs on TV? Just For Dads Unfortunately, divorced dads often get the "visitation schedule" treatment when it comes to raising their kids. They have to work extra hard to make their hours with the kids count. So much to teach and so little time! More and more, we are realizing that dads need support, too. Here are some websites that are geared specifically to dads. Wow. This website for the National Fatherhood Initiative is GOOD (www.fatherhood.org). Events around the United States, programs, products, and great information. Their eNewsletter is informative and well-written, so sign up, even if you don't happen to be a dad. You'll enjoy it. A really nice, fun website for dads is FamilyManOnline (www.familymanonline.com). Dr. Gregory Keer keeps everything in perspective. His newsletter is so good, I wish it came more often. The National Center for Fathering (www.fathers.com) has many immediately useful ideas to help you show your firm commitment to your kids. This non-profit site offers an excellent newsletter, reviews relevant products, and sponsors events and programs all over the United States. A good resource for all categories of dads (divorced, stay-at-home, financially smart, stepdads, etc.) is Fatherville (www.fatherville.com). Michael Farrell has assembled a solid bunch of information here, and has a newsletter to keep in touch. Newsletter Reviews I've collected a TON of good information from electronic newsletters across the internet. Now, don't be nervous--any newsletter I recommend must agree with ME on MY OWN privacy policy: opt-in only (often double opt-in, to be extra sure), no selling/renting/trading of email addresses, and a STRICT unsubscribe policy. If you tell them you want to unsubscribe, your name is removed permanently from their mailing list. I won't recommend anyone I haven't subscribed to personally. Always use your own judgment. You might just find something interesting here. Free Gifts for Newsletter Signup Some websites give free reports or other goodies just for signing up for their newsletter. Each of these free gifts is worth more than the 60 seconds of time spent signing up. If you're into raising organic-minded kids, check out Susan Mraz' website MonkeyToeDiapers.com. I used cloth diapers when my daughter was a baby, and found it to be a rewarding and easy experience. Susan sends you a free eBook on 45 Ways to Be a Better Parent and Raise a Well-Balanced and Responsible Kid by Marie Magdala Roker. Even if you don't use diapers anymore, this eBook is worth your time. Heather Ford of the Beyond Consequences Institute (www.beyondconsequences.com) offers her expert take on child discipline and sponsors a Yahoo Support Group. She gives away the informative 8-page article Parenting Beyond Consequences, Logic, and Control for newsletter signups. I always enjoy it when my newsletter arrives from Emily Bouchard of www.blended-families.com. Her information is quick and useful. She'll share her eBook Your Guide To Successfully Setting Goals when you sign up for the newsletter. Helping kids to set and keep goals seems overwhelming. Cassie and Monicka of www.kidsgoals.com have some kid-centered advice for you. When you subscribe to their newsletter, you receive a nice Top Ten Tips of Successful Parenting. Family Advice Websites (not restricted to only stepfamilies) Family/Parent Coaches and Counselors are listed here If you're on a journey to heal yourself and your family, Peter Gerlach has compiled his decades of work on grieving, interactive relationships, childhood trauma, why we have current dramas, and much, much more. His non-profit Stepfamily inFormation site (www.sfhelp.org) is extremely well planned, with hundreds of links throughout the site. I'll warn you: this isn't light stuff. But it's worth your time. So grab a pot of coffee and explore. |
