There are so many advantages to contacting a family counselor by telephone.

  1. You don't have to put your makeup on and comb your hair before going.
  2. You don't have to worry about who will watch the kids while you're talking to the counselor.
  3. If you or the kids are sick, you can still get your dose of support.
  4. You can use the speaker function or the downstairs extension to get everyone on the line.
  5. You remain in your very own "comfort zone" rather than going to someone's office.
  6. It's a lot like calling up your best friend to talk, only this friend has an advanced degree in psychology.
